Employee Benefits
Benefits staff can actually use, scoped to the headcount and the budget.
Group medical, group term life, and group personal accident for staff — a practical way for a Malaysian employer to hire, keep people, and handle claims without inventing a benefits department.
What a typical programme includes
Most SME programmes in Malaysia are built from a few contracts, not a dozen logos.
- Group hospitalisation and surgical: a medical plan for employees, and sometimes spouse and children. Room and board and annual limit are the lines staff feel first.
- Group outpatient or clinical benefits, where the budget allows. These are used often, so the premium feels them.
- Group term life: a multiple of salary, or a flat sum, paid if an employee dies during employment.
- Group personal accident: accidental death and disablement, sometimes with accident medical expenses.
How underwriting usually works
For larger groups, insurers often simplify medical underwriting. The minimum headcount is set by the insurer, not by a rule of thumb on a website. Foreign workers and expatriates can be included on some schemes and excluded on others.
We prepare a schedule the insurer can price: ages, plan design, dependants, and what you want staff to experience at admission. Premiums on general insurance can attract service tax. The figure we put in front of you is the figure payable, not a net number with tax discovered later.
